Dad's Hair Cut

My Dad Rocks!

So this Father's day weekend was full of activities and excitement. We will let Henrik tell you all about it.


Sat. I went to watch daddy run. It was hot and mom and dad got sun burnt but not me! mom and I walked from home to the finish line and on the way we stopped and bought me a cool t-shirt that said, My Dad Rocks! then we met up with Aunt Julene, Uncle Stephen, Monica and LeAundra, they all held me and made those funny faces they always make trying to get me to smile. Sometimes i decide to humor them : ) Anyway we held up signs and waited for dad. When Dad ran in I was so proud, my dad really does ROCK. Later that day I took a long nap, I was exhausted from the day. Then I watched aunt Julene cut Uncle Stephen's hair and then Dad's. Mom was super excited Dad had to cut his hair since the marathon was over. She kept talking about how handsome he looked. Some times they get too mushy for me :) Then we had pizza, and smoothies but mom wouldn't let me eat any, so i just watched and yearned for that delicious food. That night we watched a movie and then went t6o bed.

On Father's day I tried to be good but I have a hard time staying still at church, so I kept pretending I was a monkey and hung upside down from mom and dad's laps and wiggled all over. I will tryand be better next week. Mom and I gave dad presents, and then I watched them eat sweet and sour pork. Oh how I want teeth. anyway it was fun and I love my Daddy!!!!!!

Marathon

Daniel ran his 7th Marathon(26.2 miles) last Saturday. Here is what he said afterwards:


"The first half went pretty well. I felt pretty good. At about mile 15 I started feeling pretty tired. Towards the end, I had to really work hard to keep going. I ended up running with my Professor from my Engineering Mathematics class for the last 9 miles or so.

The last few miles I ran the only way I knew how. By placing one leg in front of the other in quick succession. Pretty soon, I only had one turn to go. As I rounded the corner, I felt muscular and compact, like corn beef. I sprinted the last 400 meters, and finished!

I talked to my math teacher afterwards. He said that he would deduct 10 points from my next test because I beat him."

Try new foods

I just thought people might want to try a few new foods that I love! I never knew these existed or would taste good until I was introduced to them while on my mission in Denmark (not all of these are Danish though, I was just introduced to them there). The reason I bring it up now is cause I have ate these in the last couple months.

Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage - YUM!
Aunt Nellie's here in the U.S. tastes pretty good and you just have to throw it in the microwave for a few mins. It's best if you eat it with Potatoes, some kind of meat and a sauce (gravy, etc). You have to take a bit of each on your fork and eat it all at the same time for the best experience.

Fresh Mozzarella with tomatoes - YUM!
Just buy fresh mozzarella cheese slice it, then eat it will fresh sliced tomatoes. A little salt and pepper add flavor. Oh it is sooooo good!

Open faced Rye bread sandwiches - YUM!
So I admit these took me a bit to get use to but get some GOOD rye bread and they are great! I love to put cucumbers, Havarti cheese (soooooooo good), mayonnaise, salt, pepper, thin slices of meat, and anything else I can think of at the time. In Denmark they put anything you can imagine on these. make sure to use a fork and knife to eat these, it makes it a little more enjoyable.

I just wanted to let mom know I ate grilled cheese sandwiches with tomatoes on top and I loved it!!!!!!!!!! (Mom use to make this a lot for us).
