Our little Thumbelina

Yesterday after looking at Cambria's tiny thumbs I decided that I would call her Thumbelina (not always, just sometimes).

Many parents these days have small little Thumbelinas or in other words, preemie babies, that survive and live fulfilling healthy lives. I believe Cambria is one of these children. I do however worry more often about her than I did about Henrik as a baby. She is just so little and dainty and has a few problems typical to preemies, according to my research. Nothing really serious, so don't worry.

As wonderful and joyous as her birth has been, despite the stress of the NICU and other things, I worry a lot about having another child. Today, a friend gave me a link to this blog called "Preemie Babies 101". This blog is great. It has helped me see that I am not alone in my worries and that I can be pro-active about making my next pregnancy as successful as possible.

I do not plan on getting pregnant right away but this blog gives me ideas and knowledge about how to prepare for our next child and what to expect as Cambria grows. This is also great for those who know people with Preemies or that have just had them.

Here is the blog link http://www.preemiebabies101.com/ Go check it out!

Good website. You might also consider visiting the March of Dimes community for parents of preemies called Share Your Story: http://www.shareyourstory.org/
