Instrument Volume Control from Sewing Machine Foot Pedal

I've been wanting to make a foot pedal volume control for my guitar for a long time. I figured that a sewing machine speed control pedal would would suit my needs for size and functionality. I found a foot pedal today at Deseret Industries, and finally constructed one.
