The Very Hungry Caterpillar

This is one of the books I remember from my childhood. We never owned the book but I remember it being read in school and how cool it was. I remember the little holes that the caterpillar made when he ate things. Anyway - I love it so I ordered it FOR FREE (unless you count time invested) using the points I earned from taking surveys.

Anyway, I thought Henrik would like it and he does! he can't get enough of the book. I actually have to hide it some times.

I also ordered 2 CD's of artists I liked back in high school and college. I thought it would be fun to be able to share the music I liked them with my children. I figure for FREE I can't go wrong.

If any of you are interested in taking surveys to earn items just let me know and I can refer you.

Daniel and I have both really liked this company (Zoompanel) and have taken some pretty interesting surveys too! Daniel always collects points faster than me so he gets more stuff but it's all in the family so we are good! SO far he has ordered 2 leathermans tool sets things, and two books for me. he lieks to save up for things he really wants.

Book, Books, and more Books!

So since I have been pregnant and feeling not well I have really started reading and listening to books on CD. I have done this a lot in the past too, but I have had to have something lately to keep my brain from mushing up into a pile of mashed potatoes. Also, this is a way I can "read" while still taking care of other things like, HENRIK!

It may come as a surprise for some of you who know me but I LOVE fantasy fiction books like Harry Potter, Narnia, etc. I know I am a nerd, but it's okay cause I think it's fun to be nerdy sometimes : )

So here are some of the books I have really enjoyed, and would suggest to others:
A fun book. I think it was meant for a younger crowd than Fablehaven but it is well written and full of imagination. I liked it. I will be keeping this book around for my kids.

I LOVE these! If you like Harry Potter I think you would also like the Fablehaven series. The first one takes a bit to really get into the story because you are meeting the characters and such. I do think however that the series just gets better and better as you go abd is something you can read to your kids. It's not as "dark" as the Harry Potter series and has lots of fun characters. I can hardly wait for the next book to come out.
These are for young adults and up. The story gets pretty complicated but is sooooooooooooooo good! The series just keeps getting better and better. I have bought the first two books for my library and will soon add the third. I can't wait for the next book!

I am also listening to the Inkheart series right now. I am not sure how much I like them yet. A lot of good ideas and such but I was not caught up in the story as much as some. It could the narrator though, since I am listening to it. Most of the other's I have listened to on CD, have all kinds of different voices for the characters and this one kinda does, but not so much. I might need to read the next book myself.

Oh I am also reading the Narnia series and really like that so far.

If any of you have any suggestions for books I can try out let me know. I love always having a book around to read. I like all kinda of books, not just fantasy fiction.

My brother John made a zip-line. We tried it out this last weekend during a family reunion.
